WHY IS DEVELOPMENT INEVITABLE AND NECESSARY?

Western Visayas Medical Center is currently a Level III, Teaching and Training Hospital with an authorized bed capacity of 425 beds serving the patients from the five (5) provinces and the City of Iloilo in Panay Island.
We envision it to be a premier multi-specialty center in Region VI. This vision was crafted in response to the demands on health care needs in Western Visayas as we are "trained to cure" and we are "committed to care".
This media clip shows a short narration of why we need to move forward with development in mind as ONE Western Visayas Medical Center.

Western Visayas Medical Center embarks to get INITIATED!

This year, WVMC under the helm of Dr. Joseph Dean L. Nicolo aims to pass the Initiation Phase of Performance Governance System. The Management Committee along with the eleven (11)  Specialty Center Heads and all the Process Owners for the Core and Support Processes  have committed to set targets and deliverables in the next five years.
Guided by its mandate and the Resource Stratified Framework (DOH Order No. 2021-0001), the visionary and hardworking workforce of the hospital took the challenge to become a premier multispecialty center of the province and citywide health systems in the region.
